revolutionary propagandist in the tradition of Marcelo H. Del Pilar. Tony Zumel passed away in 2001 while in exile in the Netherlands. This documentary was produced by the Antonio Zumel Foundation and was awarded at the ika-18

The first album of revolutionary poems turned revolutionary songs. The lyrics are of the people’s struggle for national freedom and democracy. The sharp poetry is made sweet by the music set in different popular genres and rendered by gifted alternative and mainstream musicians.

The story of Filipinos who take their health and future into their own hands, like the peasants in Bukidnon; and two young doctors from Manila. It is the story of Baby Jessie, a child from an indigenous community, who almost died because of government’s neglect and wrong priorities. Most of all, it is the story of ordinary people’s courage to organize and mobilize themselves to overcome poverty and build a healthy society.
