Strengthening the Commitment for Social Transformation

A mass led by Cardinal Gaudencio Rosales opened the last of the three-day assembly of more than 200 catholic priests from all over the country. After mass and before the start of the plenary, the assembly dedicated a prayer and a commitment to seek justice for the murder of Fr. Lucero and all victims of extra-judicial killings. The participants joined the organizers in signing a statement calling for an end to human rights abuses of which church members are also victims. Browse photos and podcast of the first day.
