Women broadcasters and journalists sharing their experience of the airwaves

ISIS International and AMARC-WIN Asia Pacific gathered together 27 women from the Philippines, Indonesia, Fiji, Laos, Nepal, China, Cambodia and East Timor for the five-day Women Making Airwaves for Peace seminar.

The seminar was a venue for sharing experiences of women radio broadcasters, journalists, producers and managers on experiences like feminist broadcasting, disaster management and conflict and peace building. Skills are also enhanced with different skills sharing sessions like writing news report, interview techniques, sound recording and editing, hosting and anchoring feminist broadcasting.

The five-day seminar which is starts last October 16 will be lasted on October 20. This is a good opportunity not just for women participants to exchange experiences and develop their skills but more of establishing relationship with women from Asia Pacific.

Kodao Paroductions and ARCSEA (producer of Kaya Natin 'To Kids radio program) are also participants. Click for the Podcast
