Benigno Simeon Aquino III's mining liberalization policies and projects. A week before Valentine's Day, victims of typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan in Western Samar were visited by the fifth medical and relief mission of the S.O.S. (Samahang Operasyong Sagip). True to its pledge, the Samahang Operasyong Sagip (SOS) continues to serve victims of Typhoon Yolanda. Paving past the cold and rain, the 4th SOS team goes through bridges engulfed by overflowing rivers. The 4th SOS medical mission, scheduled from January 17-21, 2014, will be conducted in Carigara, Leyte and neighboring municipalities.

Two months after supertyphoon Yolanda (Haiyan) ravaged the country, angry survivors and their kin under the self-help Tindog Network trooped to Pres. Aquino's family residence along Times Sreet in Quezon City. They denounced the government's corruption-laden relief and rehabilitation efforts. A phalanx of anti-riot police troops blocked the protesters. Coordinated protest actions were also held before government offices in Iloilo, Roxas, and Kalibo.

A visually-impaired Typhoon Yolanda survivor in Roxas City asks former Bayan Muna representative Teddy Casiño for a hug to express her joy at meeting him again. As a grade school pupil some years ago, She met Casiño at a national convention for persons with disabilities which Casiño addressed as the main author of the PWD bill at the House of Representatives. She says she has always idolized him since.
