Kin and supporters of the 43 health workers illegally arrested in Morong, Rizal welcome the Aquino government's withdrawal of charges as they march to Mendiola to commemorate the International Human Rights Day. Family of Morong 43 thank supporters who helped in the campaign for the health workers' release.

Supporters hold caravan on 2nd day of the Morong 43's hunger strike

Detained health worker rushed to hospital due to severe health condition

In the early hours of June 12, Jane Balleta, on of the 43 illegally arrested health workers, suffered eight successive epileptic attacks inside her detention cell at the Bicutan Jail Management and Penology. She was rushed to the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) where she is still recuperating.

AHW celebrates Health Workers' Day with protest, calls for freedom for the Morong 43

The Alliance of Health Workers celebrated Health Workers' Day today in a protest action. Aside from calling for greater state subsidy for the health sector, they also called on the government to release the 43 health workers that were illegally arrested in Morong, Rizal last Feb 6, 2010.

PNP refused transfer of Morong 43 for the second time

For the second time, the Philippine National Police refused to comply with the Morong Regional Trail Court's order to transfer the 43 detained health workers from Camp Capinpin, Tanay, Rizal to Camp Crame in Quezon City.
