A farewell party was organized last January 9, 2010 by progressive Filipino organizations led by Amistad, the International League for People's Struggle, and Bagong Alyansang Makabayan for Amb. Jorge Rey Jimenez, outgoing Cuban Ambassador to the Philippines.
