Patched Houses

Aninaw Productions' "Tapak Tapak" (Patched Houses) is about a mother's
account on the demolition that took place in their community. She
narrates how fear and sickness struck her children and how she
contemplates on life's bitterness. Last July the community they were
staying was demolished.
"Tapak Tapak" is part of UNANG HUNAT! an anthology of "FIRST ISSUE" video productions created by development workers from 12 NGOs all over the Visayas. A product of a week-long crash course on video production, these six ground-breaking, uncensored audio-visual projects attempt to address the yearning of the disenfranchised Visayan Public -- the farmers, fisherfolks, workers, women and youth -- for an alternative medium with which they could channel their concerns. Sponsored by CERNET-ESP in cooperation with Kodao Productions. »
